I started taking flying lessons in 1997 from Richard Logan at the Winsted municipal airport (10D).  I got my private license in the spring of 1998.  In mid summer of 1998 we purchase a 1965 Cessna 182-H in which we had for eight years.  We sold it in July of 2007, to consolidate aircraft.  I have been building a Van's RV-7A since August of 2003.  It has been a family project as Chris, my son; wife Darla, and even Nicole have helped buck rivets.  Arden Johnson who is a uncle by marriage and lives three miles away has helped me see this project to completion.  Arden has built a Van's RV-4 and still flies today his Van's RV-6A which he completed in 1994. 

Arden is who introduced us to the area in which we live.   It was Easter of 1999 when we were invited out Arden and Berdine's who live in the Winsted area.  That is when Arden mentioned 95 acres of land for sale about three miles from his home.  We closed on the land in December of 1999 and began building a house and hanger in April of 2000.  We moved into our new home in November of 2000.  We had a excavator come in and level off a 75' x 2048' landing strip in which we have registered with the FAA as Serenity Field (MN99).
